Duties and Responsibilities: The student will provide excellent customer and technical service assistance to faculty, studentsand staff; Matched to up to 30 level one incoming students each semester.

Provides these students with wayfinding (virtual or in person).

Responds to questions these students may have as they transition to and begin their journey at Algonquin College; Provides support at The AC Hub information desks across campus; Provides support at the Here2Help booths across campus during the first two weeks of each semester; Provides campus tours to Students,



parents and influencers of incoming students; Directs students to services and supports across campus in order to integrate into the college and classroom; Completes first level orientation to students of the Brightspace platform; Inputs data for statistical reports on services and supports provided to incoming students; Answer student inquiries about the college experience, and student engagement opportunities; Timely & relevant referrals to internal resources.

Provides warm handovers to these services particularly Counseling and Centre for accessible learning; Regular communication & updates to students matched in the Navigator program; Collaborate with other college departments on behalf of the student to resolve various challenges; Represents the student Navigator program at Open Houses and other college wide events; May provide support to all operations and maintenance areas that can only be performed by students; Assist staff with completion of routine duties in accordance with the CA; Follow all College safety protocol while working on College property; Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with the CA.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum of up to six (6) months of practical experience in customer service; Demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic accurately; Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures with a high degree of accuracy; Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing accurate work; Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to courteously exchange information with customers, students, staff, and the public; Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment; Ability to manage predictable work pressures, interruptions, and occasional competing priorities; Capability to meet the moderate physical and sensory demands of the position, including repetitive movements, sustained attention, and periods of standing and/or sitting as required; Currently enrolled in a Full time program. * Vacancy is for(seven positions total) - P05707, P06153, P08875, P17472, P17895 * These positions are paid at $17.60/hr
