Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years or equivalent experience Work setting Various locations Commercial Residential Construction site Tasks Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Work under pressure Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability Accurate Client focus Team player Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
