Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites Supervise other workers Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Construct timber supports and cribbing Supervision 3-4 people Type of materials Concrete products Employment terms options Early morning Employment terms options Morning On call Day Overtime available Other advantages Free parking available Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Transportation provided by employer Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
