Our financial services client is seeking a AI Governance Advisor (5+ years) to build and formalize an enterprise AI governance program using regulatory frameworks and risk-based controls Join a globally recognized pension and investment organization advancing an early-stage AI governance program foundational to its data and technology strategy.

This role leads the design and execution of enterprise AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls aligned with evolving regulations and standards.

The position offers visibility across Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology stakeholders, directly shaping responsible AI adoption enterprise-wide.

Contract, Toronto, Working Hours: EST Must Haves 5+ years in AI governance , data governance , technology risk , or compliance developing and implementing frameworks and controls Proficiency applying NIST AI RMF , ISO/IEC , OECD AI Principles , and EU AI Act standards Hands-on background conducting AI risk assessments and embedding risk-based controls across enterprise systems Degree or diploma in Information Science,



IT Management, Law, Compliance, Policy Management, Computer Science, or Data Science Nice to Have Experience supporting vendor governance or tool centralization initiatives related to AI systems Exposure to model management or agentic AI governance challenges Responsibilities Lead execution of the enterprise AI Governance Refresh, developing policies, standards, processes, and controls Drive program initiatives including AI risk assessments, operating model design, and governance frameworks Align AI governance with technology, data, and vendor governance processes Define and document risks, controls, and regulatory requirements for AI use Develop procedures and AI governance guidelines addressing program gaps Engage cross-functional partners across Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams Facilitate stakeholder workshops to advance governance adoption and alignment
