We're looking for a Release Engineer with strong platform engineering experience to support a large-scale RHEL modernization initiative. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in RHEL9, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation. What you'll do

- Support migration of applications and services from RHEL7 to RHEL9
- Build, manage, and troubleshoot RPM packages and resolve dependency issues
- Modernize container platforms using Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, and RHEL Universal Base Images
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, and Python
- Perform vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and infrastructure automation with Ansible

What you bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including RHEL9
- Robust Linux administration and platform engineering experience




- Experience with Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Rancher
- Knowledge of Make, CMake, GCC build systems, and Ansible
- Experience with OS modernization, CI/CD automation, and security remediation
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure modernization projects
- Knowledge of secure software supply chain practices
- Experience working in client-facing environments

Work setup
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
- Contract: 6+ months
