Role: Lawful Intercept System Tester Intermediate & Senior
Job Summary
We are seeking Intermediate (5 9 years) and Senior (10+ years) Lawful Intercept System Testers to support the testing and validation of secure telecommunications and software solutions for Government of Canada projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional and integration testing, networking protocols, virtualization, and test automation. Key Responsibilities
Perform functional and integration testing of software-based lawful intercept systems.
Validate system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support engineering teams by reviewing requirements and verifying capabilities.
Develop and execute test scripts using Java, Groovy, Bash, or Python.
Analyze application behavior using tools such as Splunk and Wireshark.
Review and manage test data using Oracle, MySQL, or Solr databases.
Test Windows-based user interfaces and manage virtualized test environments using VMware.
Decode, analyze,
and validate ASN.1 BER-encoded data and telecommunications protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards. Required Skills & Experience
Intermediate: 5 9 years | Senior: 10+ years of relevant experience.
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong experience with:
Functional and integration software testing
Iterative and Agile/Incremental development environments
Oracle, MySQL, or Solr databases
Java, Groovy, Bash, or Python scripting
Windows-based UI testing
Splunk, Wireshark, and networking analysis tools
Telephone protocols and ASN.1 BER data analysis
VMware virtualization and test setting management
Experience supporting secure Government or highly regulated environments is highly preferred.
Mandatory: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
