The Opportunity A seasoned and skilled Senior/Intermediate Mechanical Designer is sought to take a leading role in crafting high-performance mechanical systems within an advanced automation setting.

Reporting to the Mechanical Design Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering innovative design solutions for custom machinery and robotic systemsdriving the future of automated welding and assembly.

Position Description Develop detailed design concepts for jigs, tools, and automated machinery using part data and GD&T; drawings Select and specify components for mechanical assemblies that align with performance, safety, and cost parameters Generate accurate 3D models, production drawings, and complete bills of materials using Solid

Works Ensure compliance with relevant safety and design standards, including OSHA, CSA, and customer-specific requirements Oversee and coordinate work with external design contractors to maintain quality and timelines Perform load and stress analyses where necessary to validate design integrity Mentor and guide junior designers,



fostering technical growth and team collaboration Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience designing automated welding and assembly equipment Background in the automotive and automation sectors, particularly robotic weld cells Expertise in tooling, fixture, and jig design for welding applications Proven capability to take ownership of senior-level projects and transition into a design lead role Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology Advanced Solid
