About Our Client Our client, a well-established Quebec-based company in the distribution sector, is currently seeking a Logistics Director to lead its logistics operations and support the development of its teams as the company continues to grow.

Summary Description Reporting to senior management, the Logistics Director provides leadership for all of the companys logistics activities.

He is responsible for the overall performance of the distribution network, the optimization of warehousing and transportation operations, and the development of the teams that support the organizations activities.

At the helm of a large team of employees spread across several distribution centers, he or she ensures the continuous improvement of processes, the evolution of logistics systems, the optimization of inventory, and the achievement of productivity, quality, and customer service objectives.

Working closely with the organizations various departments, he serves as a strategic partner to senior management by actively contributing to the companys growth, modernization, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities Leadership of Logistics Operations Provide leadership for all logistics operations to deliver reliable, efficient, and safe service across the entire distribution network.

Motivate, mentor, and develop a team of directors and managers by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Maintain an active presence on the ground to support teams, understand operational challenges, and facilitate rapid and effective decision-making.

Promote a work environment focused on health and safety, respect for individuals, and team engagement.

Operational Excellence Optimize processes, work methods, and logistics flows to sustainably improve productivity, operational quality, and customer service levels.

Standardize best practices across the various distribution centers to ensure consistent and efficient execution of operations.

Identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and support the companys growth.





Ensure the optimization of inventory, warehouse space, and goods flows to support the performance of the distribution network.

Contribute to the evolution of systems, technological tools, and logistics processes, particularly by maximizing the use of the WMS and operational data.

Promote the use of best practices in inventory management to improve product availability and operational reliability.

Performance Management Define, monitor, and analyze operational performance metrics to ensure that productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and service objectives are met.

Implement management routines that promote proactive decision-making and continuous improvement in results.

Ensure rigorous management of budgets, resources, and operational priorities with a focus on efficiency and value creation.

Organizational Leadership Act as a partner to the companys various functions to ensure effective coordination of logistics activities with sales, procurement, information technology, and other departments.

Support teams in evolving practices, processes, and tools by fostering buy-in for change and the development of skills.

Develop talent, support the next generation of leaders, and foster a climate of trust that encourages collaboration, autonomy, and accountability.

Customer Service Ensure a high level of service by guaranteeing product availability, operational reliability, and fulfillment of commitments to customers.

Develop a culture focused on the continuous improvement of the customer experience, with both internal and external partners.

Actively contribute to the evolution of the logistics function by identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization that create value for the organization.

Required Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in operations management, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.

Additional training in supply chain management, continuous improvement, or leadership (a plus).

Professional Experience A minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing logistics operations or large-scale logistics networks.

Significant experience managing supervisors and large teams in a multi-site setting.

Experience in improving operational performance, optimizing processes,



and managing change.

Experience in an environment where customer service, speed of execution, and team engagement are key success factors.

Experience in change management and developing managerial skills.

Skills Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, distribution, inventory management, and the supply chain.

Strong command of key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytical tools used to guide operational decisions.

Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (Lean, Kaizen, or equivalent).

Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) and an ERP system.

Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
