Superintendent Concrete Formwork & Structural Concrete Location: Colwood, BC (Vancouver Island) Match

Box Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a respected construction company seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on a commercial concrete project in the Greater Victoria area.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in concrete formwork who enjoys taking ownership, building strong working relationships, and keeping projects moving efficiently.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site activities, driving productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily site operations and coordinate project activities.

Manage labour, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.

Coordinate site logistics, scheduling, and upcoming project milestones.

Work closely with project teams, trade partners, consultants, and site leadership.

Review construction drawings and ensure work is executed according to project requirements.

Coordinate inspections, concrete pours, and critical construction activities.

Monitor project progress, quality, and productivity.

Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.

Identify potential issues early and implement practical solutions to keep work on track.

Participate in project meetings and contribute to short-term planning and forecasting.

Qualifications 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial concrete or formwork projects.

Strong knowledge of structural concrete construction and site operations.

Experience coordinating with General Contractors and multiple project stakeholders.

Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to independently manage site activities while collaborating with the broader project team.

Self-starter who is proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking initiative.

Relationship-focused leader with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
