Description: An introduction to tissue and cell morphology, biochemistry of the cell and physiological concepts including diffusion, osmosis and membrane transport mechanisms.
Anatomy and physiology of cardiovascular, blood, lymphatic and respiratory systems.
Introduction to the control mechanisms: concepts of homeostasis, nervous and endocrine systems.
The individual will also be responsible for providing questions for the final exam and should be familiar with handling Brightspace for posting lecture slides and communicating with students outside the classroom.

Course type: C Posting type: Rgulier / Regular Language of instruction: Anglais | English Competence in second language: Passive Course Schedule: Mardi | Tuesday 13:00-14:30 Jeudi | Thursday 11:30-13:00 - Requirements: PhD degree in health sciences, biology, physiology or biochemistry, or MD degree and prior experience (past three years) in teaching physiology (or anatomy and physiology) to large classes (over 50 students) of undergraduate students (first year).
Recent prior experience (past three years) in teaching the cellular physiology of excitable cells would be an asset.
Priority will be given to applicants with experience in course web site administration using Brightspace.
