Job Summary:

The Senior Technology Architect is responsible for developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the technical architecture across hardware, software, database, and communications in a large, distributed, cross-platform environment. This role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring performance optimization, and guiding teams using structured methodologies and ITIL processes. Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Leadership experience in developing and implementing technical architectures.
- Extensive experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, database technologies, and communication protocols.
- Proficiency with middleware and Layer 7 gateways including CA Gateway (5+ years).
- Robust knowledge of IT security strategies, governance, and designing systems for zero trust (5+ years).
- Experience with systems analysis, design, and performance considerations in large environments.




- Ability to prepare enterprise architecture deliverables and models.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practices.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (Open Text ECM applications).
- Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Public sector experience.

Special Considerations:
- Must have experience designing systems for zero trust security frameworks.
- Experience with CA Gateway and other Layer 7 gateways is essential.
- Strong focus on IT security strategies and governance.
- Hybrid work model requiring three days in office and two days remote.

Scheduling:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in office, 2 days remote work per week.
