Key responsibilities

- Develop, test and support real-time financial applications.
- Troubleshoot performance, latency, data-flow and production issues.
- Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
- Design real-time reporting and visualisation features.
- Identify automation opportunities and operational risks.
- Present solutions to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to shared UI standards and the wider frontend development community.

Core requirements

- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong JavaScript knowledge, including ES2020+, algorithms, data structures, concurrency and design patterns.
- Experience with React, RxJS and Redux.
- Experience building scalable, well-tested frontend platforms.




- Knowledge of contemporary browser and PWA technologies such as Web Workers, Service Workers, IndexedDB, caching and WebSockets.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.

Preferred experience

- Financial-services or Capital Markets experience.
- TypeScript, Node.js, Java or Python.
- Cypress, Playwright or Jest.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and modern JavaScript build tools.
- OpenFin, Electron, SQL, GraphQL, D3, AG Grid and related frontend technologies.
- Agile, Scrum or Kanban experience.

Working arrangement: Hybrid, typically 2 3 office days per week on an alternating schedule.
