Production Supervisor (Contract)
Status: Current Opening

- Lead, coach, and support production employees and front-line supervisors to meet daily production objectives.
- Coordinate labour, scheduling, and shift activities to maintain efficient production flow.
- Monitor production performance, labour efficiency, scrap, rework, downtime, and other key metrics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to equipment, quality, and production issues.
- Work closely with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and address recurring issues.
- Partner with Quality to investigate defects, customer concerns, and process issues.
- Maintain a secure, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
- Support employee training, performance management, workforce planning, and day-to-day employee relations.
- Coordinate inventory activities and ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting, including KPIs and operational summaries.




- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Support production planning and scheduling to meet customer and business requirements.
- Assist with recruitment and management of temporary labour as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in a technical field or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with production metrics, KPIs, and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to make effective day-to-day operational decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and manufacturing best practices.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership role requiring regular interaction with production employees and time spent on the plant floor. Appropriate PPE is required.
