Looking for a adaptable part-time position that comes with reduced rent?
We are looking for a reliable, professional and community-minded Live-In Building Service Worker to help care for Cedar La:Lem, a new residential building in Chilliwack.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants steady part-time income while maintaining another job, attending school, retired or balancing other commitments.
What We Offer
- 20 hours per week
- Flexible work schedule
- Reduced rent as part of the live-in arrangement
- Opportunity to maintain another job or source of income
- Consistent part-time hours
- Work where you live — no daily commute!
- Opportunity to help maintain a new residential building
- Support from our building and maintenance team
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be keeping the building's common areas clean, welcoming and well maintained.
Duties may include:
- Cleaning hallways, stairwells and common areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning entrance areas and interior glass
- Cleaning and maintaining shared building spaces
- Sanitizing high-touch surfaces
- Garbage and recycling duties
- Monitoring cleanliness throughout the building

- Completing scheduled cleaning tasks
- Helping ensure the building presents a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, respectful and comfortable working in a diverse residential community.
The successful candidate will:

- Be friendly and approachable while maintaining clear boundaries with residents
- Be able to follow cleaning schedules and established procedures
- Be physically capable of completing regular cleaning duties
- Be comfortable living and working within the same residential community
An Important Part of This Role
Because this is a live-in position, strong professional boundaries are essential.
Residents may see you regularly outside of your scheduled work hours. The successful candidate must be comfortable being friendly and respectful while understanding when they are on duty and when they are off duty.
You are not expected to be available to residents 24/7.

With reduced rent, only 20 hours of work per week and flexible scheduling, this role can be an excellent fit for someone looking to lower their housing costs while earning additional income — without giving up another job or other commitments.
If you're reliable, take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a community and understand the importance of professional boundaries, we'd love to hear from you.
