We are currently seeking for a Warehouse Team Lead to join our Edmonton warehouse team. Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the warehouse team lead will assist with supervision, direction, and coaching of the warehouse employees. This position plays a key role in overseeing the welfare and productivity level of all warehouse employees.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring team efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
- Enforce compliance with department procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and positive work environment for all warehouse employees.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identifying shortages, damage, or maintenance needs, and communicate findings to management for resolution.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure all customer shipments are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, as well as receiving and organizing incoming shipments.
- Review incoming and outgoing shipments,
verify quantities against Purchase Orders, invoices, and bills of lading, and report discrepancies to management.
- Complete receiving documentation and apply labels or hold tags as required.
- Transfer goods between branch locations as needed.
- Assist in training, developing, and engaging warehouse employees.
- Lead by example in following safety procedures and operational best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and effective warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and order pickers as needed.
- Provide direction, delegation, and support to warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Skills:
- Basic computer skills. (ability to learn and use in-house software applications).
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work from verbal and written instructions and have good attention to detail.
- Good leadership skills to be able to work with others.
- Confident delegating and providing instruction.
- Excels at multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
