Pace Processing consists of one federally registered CFIA/SQF level 2 certified meat plant, two cake plant (GMP & SQF certified respectively), one bakery plant (GMP certified), one Savory Plant (SQF Certified), one Cookie Plant (SQF Certified) and one dry warehouse (GDP certified). Currently Pace Processing is accepting applications for Quality Control Technician.

Position: Full time QA/QC Technician (3-month probation period)

Job Description (includes the following, but is not limited to those listed):

- Daily review of pre-operational & during operational checks, and regular process line check/monitoring.
- Monitor production staff and environment for HACCP and GMP compliance, enforce HACCP program through communication and training with production employees.
- Monitoring in-process and finished goods: Performing and verifying quality checks throughout production.
- Review daily lot coding for all ingredients used for production and other related tasks to ensure product traceability. Inspect all storage coolers, freezer and ensure products and ingredients are organized and FIFO (first in first out) is being followed.
- Perform critical control point checks, allergen checks on process as outlined in the HACCP requirements.
- Perform pre-op ATP, allergen and micro swabs before production.
- Assist with internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Support validation, verification, and continuous improvement projects.




- Communicate quality issues promptly to production supervisors and production personnel.
- Assist in recording reviewing and record keeping.
- Any other food safety and quality control related job assigned by QA Manager

Job Requirements:

- Able to work with various shifts (morning and evening) with over-time required, and weekend shifts as assigned. Candidate have availability to work on the weekend.
- Science/Food Science / Food Tech diploma, or degree, is required
- Knowledge & experience with HACCP, SOPs, GMPs
- Ability to work in refrigerated environment
- Strive in fast paced environment, ability to work with other staff and management
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Punjabi or Hindi is considered an asset
- Computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be well organized and demonstrate effective time management skills
- Results oriented, attention to detail, and self-motivated.
