Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Produce Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh produce and excellent customer service skills. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of our produce department while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the produce department, ensuring all products are displayed attractively.
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable information about various fruits, vegetables, and other produce items.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and enhance their shopping experience.
- Stock shelves with fresh produce, ensuring proper rotation and quality control.
- Process transactions accurately at the cashier station, handling cash and credit card payments efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain high standards of customer service.




- Sell promotional items and assist in merchandising efforts to drive sales in the produce department.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the department.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with cashiering processes is desirable.
- Robust organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
- Willingness to learn about various produce items and their uses.

Pay: $17.55-$25.00 per hour
