We are looking for a reliable Civil Construction Labourer to join our underground utilities team.

About us, we are a family run Utility Contractor specializing in protected and efficient hydro/tel installations. Our projects range anywhere from large ductbank and manhole installations to intricate EV charging stations and everything in between. We are always evolving and looking to add players to our growing team.

This is a hands-on position working on underground utility construction, with the added responsibility of driving a large company tool van to and from job sites every day.

Responsibilities

- Drive a large tool van safely to and from job sites
- Load, unload and organize tools, equipment and materials
- Keep the company van clean, secure and properly stocked
- Perform basic daily vehicle checks
- Assist with underground utility installation and repair
- Assist with excavation, pipe installation, bedding, backfill and compaction
- Work around heavy equipment and active construction sites
- Use hand tools and assist equipment operators and other crew members
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite




- Follow company and site safety procedures

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Safe and responsible driving habits
- Comfortable driving a large work van
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop/yard
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy outdoor labour
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work as part of a crew and take direction

- Storm drainage
- Excavation
- Pipe installation
- Civil construction
- Construction equipment and hand tools
- Concrete forming, pouring and finishing

We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, takes care of company tools and equipment, and wants to build a career in civil construction.

Full-time, long-term position for the right person.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
