Workforce Inc. is currently seeking Core Technicians to assist a local client located 80 km’s outside of Timmins. If you are eager to get your foot in the door if the mining industry and learn about the industry, this is a outstanding opportunity!

Responsibilities:

- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all policies and procedures
- Use power equipment and hand tools necessary to accomplish assigned tasks
- Operate tools such as core cutting saw, skid steer, drills etc.
- Consistently moving core samples to and from cut shack
- Label core boxes
- Organize exterior storage area
- Kept interior and exterior of core shack clean and safe and keeps good housekeeping standards in his work area
- Enter data and sent out on a timely basis
- Dealing with sample issues and requirements
- All other tasks related to the core shack operation and surface exploration programs
- Perform work in accordance with sound safety practices
- Core pick up/deliveries
- Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

- Experience in sawing core and core shack duties is considered an asset
- Must be highly self-motivated and able to follow established procedures and meet standards while working unsupervised
- Safety oriented




- Organized and detail oriented
- Must have the ability to follow directions accurately
- Ability to organize and communicate with supervisors and managers
- Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
- Good written and oral communication
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transportation

Schedule: 5/5/4, 12-hour shifts from 6am-6pm

Pay Rate: $29.97
