Job Summary

We are seeking a collaborative educational leader to join our school administration team. The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal, staff, students, and families to support a positive, safe, and caring school environment while helping advance the school’s educational priorities, programs, and student achievement.

This is an opportunity for a leader who is passionate about teaching and learning, builds strong relationships, and brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to school leadership. You will play an important role in supporting instructional excellence, strengthening school programs and practices, and contributing to the ongoing development of our school community.

What You'll Do

- Collaborate with the Principal to provide effective day-to-day leadership and administration of the school.
- Support the development and implementation of educational programs and initiatives that enhance student learning and achievement.
- Provide leadership in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and evaluation, supporting teachers in effective and current teaching practices.
- Support the implementation of the School Plan, including the effective use of student learning data to inform priorities and decision-making.
- Foster a respectful, safe, inclusive, and caring school environment where students and staff can thrive.
- Build strong,



positive relationships with students, parents, employees, and the broader school community.
- Promote a consultative and team-oriented approach to decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Support staff through effective communication, coaching, guidance, and leadership.
- Respond calmly and effectively to complex, sensitive, and high-stress situations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies, programs, curriculum, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the wider life, values, and community of Dasmesh Punjabi School.

What We're Looking For

Required

- Valid BC teaching certificate.
- Master's degree with a focus in curriculum, educational administration, leadership, counselling, or a related field.
- Proven experience in successful classroom teaching and instructional leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse learners and school communities.
- Solid understanding of curriculum, effective pedagogy, assessment, and student learning.
- Proven ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
- Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A collaborative, consensus-seeking leadership style with the ability to make thoughtful and timely decisions.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and management skills.




- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively during critical incidents and high-stress situations.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and community of Dasmesh Punjabi School.

Strong Assets

- Experience in a formal school leadership or administrative role.
- Experience leading curriculum development, instructional improvement, or school-wide initiatives.
- Experience using student achievement data to inform instructional and school improvement priorities.
- Knowledge of current educational technology and its effective integration into teaching and learning.
- Experience fostering inquiry-based and student-centred teaching and learning practices.
- Experience working within a diverse, multicultural school community.

Pay: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
