Safety & Compliance CoordinatorOverview

Join our team as a Safety & Compliance Coordinator, where you will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening our safety culture across our transportation operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory, occupational health, and safety requirements while supporting day-to-day operations.

You will take a proactive approach to risk management, helping to prevent incidents, improve processes, and ensure our drivers, equipment, and operations meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate driver onboarding, qualification, and ongoing compliance
- Support and maintain drug & alcohol testing program requirements
- Assist with CTPAT / PIP and customs compliance processes
- Monitor and review NSC profile reports, driver files, and safety records
- Track and ensure compliance for equipment maintenance, licensing, and insurance
- Maintain accident files, incident reports, and claims documentation
- Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety and compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements




- Support COR and Occupational Health & Safety initiatives
- Collaborate with management to promote continuous improvement in safety performance and compliance
- Work closely with drivers and owner-operators to ensure understanding of regulatory, safety, and contractual requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in the transportation industry
- Strong office administration and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with a team-oriented approach
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and compliance practices

Assets

- Experience in cross-border trucking operations
- Familiarity with NSC, COR, CTPAT, or PIP programs
- Experience with TruckMate or other TMS systems
- Post-secondary education in a related field

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
