SimplySmart Child Care Centre & Montessori is seeking a dependable, organized, and mature individual to join our team as a Full-Time Childcare Kitchen Assistant. We are a child-focused organization dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious morning and afternoon snacks for a large group of children
- Serve catered lunches efficiently across multiple classrooms
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, including dishwashing and surface sanitization
- Follow all allergy, dietary restriction, and food safety protocols with diligence
- Keep accurate food records in accordance with Peel Public Health and Ministry of Education requirements
- Create shopping lists and assist with ordering kitchen supplies
- Support classrooms as needed throughout the day
- Perform regular and deep cleaning duties, including mopping floors and sanitizing appliances

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a high-volume or large kitchen setting
- Experience in a childcare environment is considered an asset




- Strong understanding of food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Valid Food Handler Certification (required)
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test (as per Ministry requirements)
- Criminal reference check (VSC required for childcare employment)
- Ability to prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced team workplace
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent full-time hours
