Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Childcare Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging workplace for children of all abilities. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental milestones and foster social-emotional growth.
- Coordinate daily childcare schedules, ensuring smooth transitions and balanced routines for children with diverse needs.
- Collaborate closely with families to understand individual requirements, including those of children with disabilities or special needs, providing personalized support.
- Supervise caregiving staff and volunteers, offering guidance, training, and feedback to maintain high-quality care standards.
- Maintain detailed records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Facilitate communication between families and staff to promote transparency, trust, and ongoing support for each child's development.
- Ensure the childcare environment is safe, clean, organized, and fully equipped with educational materials aligned with early childhood education best practices.
Skills
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to promote inclusive participation.
- Strong teaching skills combined with a caring approach to caregiving that nurtures each child's unique abilities.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to organize activities efficiently while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
