Job description

Location: Central Region

Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, this position will be responsible for the collection of residential household solid waste in a 33 cubic yard compactor (tandem) truck and deliver to the Regional Landfill site and or Transfer Station.

Duties:

- Driver inspects vehicle prior to and after driving vehicle (pre trip and post trip inspection)
- Regular one collection per household per week or as advised
- Driver maintains mileage reports and vehicle inspection reports
- Driver required to carry out regular maintenance/repair on collection vehicle
- Drivers must display a protected, courteous, and professional manner with the general public
- Must be available for emergencies if they should arise
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Graduated from high school or equivalent. Possess a valid Air Brake – Tandem driver’s license (Class 3). Good driving record and a minimum of three years driving experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.63 per hour
