We are seeking an experienced Estate Litigation Lawyer to independently manage complex estates and trusts litigation files within a highly regarded boutique litigation firm offering sophisticated work, hybrid flexibility, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

- Independently manage estates and trusts litigation files from inception through resolution.

- Represent clients in contested wills, capacity disputes, trustee and executor disputes, passing of accounts, dependant support claims, and other estate litigation matters.

- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, factums, mediation briefs, and other litigation materials.

- Conduct discoveries, mediations, settlement negotiations, motions, and court appearances.

- Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal advice to clients.

- Maintain carriage of files while delivering exceptional client service.





- Collaborate with lawyers on complex estate and trust litigation matters.

- Contribute to a collegial and high-performing litigation team.

Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

- Minimum 3 years of exclusive estate litigation experience, or 4-5 years of litigation experience with at least 50% of practice focused on estate litigation.

- Proven experience independently managing estates and trusts litigation files.

- Strong written advocacy, legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.

- Excellent organizational, file management, and client relationship skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a collaborative workplace.
