Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and results-driven B2B Procurement Executive – IT Asset Acquisition to join our team.

This is a business development and procurement role focused on identifying and developing new B2B relationships with organizations across Canada and the United States that have retired, surplus, or end-of-life IT equipment.

The successful candidate will actively prospect corporations, hospitals and healthcare organizations, schools and universities, government organizations, data centres, financial institutions, MSPs, IT resellers, leasing companies, and other organizations to identify IT asset acquisition opportunities.

This is not a traditional purchasing role where suppliers are already established. You will be responsible for finding new opportunities, opening new accounts, building relationships with decision-makers, negotiating equipment acquisitions, and developing recurring sources of IT equipment.

Duties

- Prospect and develop new B2B accounts across Canada and the United States.
- Identify organizations with retired, surplus, or end-of-life IT equipment available for sale, recycling, or disposition.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other business development methods.
- Connect with key decision-makers, including IT Directors, Procurement Managers, Asset Managers, Facilities Managers, business owners, and other senior contacts.
- Qualify opportunities by gathering information regarding equipment type, quantity, condition, location, availability, and expected value.
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms for bulk lots of used IT equipment while protecting company margins.
- Manage the full acquisition cycle from initial prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and vendor onboarding.




- Build long-term vendor relationships that generate recurring IT equipment opportunities rather than focusing only on one-time transactions.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and existing vendor accounts.
- Travel to vendor locations when required to inspect equipment, verify quantities and condition, and strengthen business relationships.
- Collaborate with our operations and logistics teams to coordinate pickups and ensure successfully closed deals are completed properly.
- Maintain accurate and current records of prospects, opportunities, activities, and closed deals within the company CRM.
- Provide regular updates on prospecting activity, pipeline development, negotiations, and closed opportunities.
- Monitor market conditions, equipment availability, competitor activity, and pricing trends within the used IT equipment industry.

Requirements

- Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, procurement, account acquisition, sourcing, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new business accounts from scratch.
- Solid cold-calling and outbound prospecting skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills and confidence discussing pricing, volume, equipment condition, and purchasing terms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with senior-level decision-makers and business owners.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term B2B relationships.
- Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and comfortable working toward measurable performance targets.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects, negotiations, and opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM systems and modern prospecting tools is preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Valid driver's licence and valid passport.
- Willing and able to travel within Canada and the United States when required.

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
