Cleanstruction | Ottawa East / Carlsbad Springs
Pay: $18–$20 per hour with a defined wage progression

- You must have reliable transportation to our shop in Carlsbad Springs every morning.
- Our shop is not accessible by public transit.
- You must be ready to work at 8:00 a.m., Monday to Friday.
- You must be dependable, punctual and available for full-time work.
- You must be able to clean quickly without sacrificing quality.
- You must be comfortable performing physical, detail-oriented work on active construction sites.

If you cannot consistently meet these requirements, this position will not be a suitable fit.

About Cleanstruction

Cleanstruction is a family-owned and operated post-construction cleaning company with more than 60 years of experience. We work with many of Ottawa’s leading homebuilders and specialize in preparing newly constructed homes for inspections, PDI's and closings.

Our reputation depends on delivering clean, move-in-ready homes on schedule. We are looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners who take pride in their work, notice what needs to be done and maintain a strong pace throughout the day.

This is not light residential housekeeping. Post-construction cleaning is active, detailed work performed in a fast-paced team environment.

Pay progression

Our wage structure is clearly defined:

- First two weeks: $18 per hour during a paid trial period
- After successfully completing the trial: $19 per hour during a three-month probationary period
- After successfully completing probation: $20 per hour
- Additional advancement and supervisor opportunities are available for employees who consistently demonstrate reliability, quality, efficiency, initiative and leadership.

Wage increases are based on successfully meeting performance, attendance and quality expectations.

Schedule and transportation

- Full-time, year-round work
- Monday to Friday




- Employees must report to our Carlsbad Springs shop and be ready to work at 8:00 a.m.
- Daily finishing times may vary depending on workload and site schedules.
- No regularly scheduled evening or weekend work
- Once crews leave the shop, company driver/supervisors transport employees between job sites in company vehicles.
- Employees are not expected to use their personal vehicles throughout the workday.
- All cleaning equipment, materials and supplies are provided.

Responsibilities

- Complete the different stages of post-construction cleaning according to Cleanstruction’s standards
- Remove construction dust, debris, labels and temporary protective materials
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bathtubs, showers, tile walls, shelving, windows, floors and other finished surfaces
- Inspect all sides and surfaces—not only the most visible areas
- Ensure each home is thoroughly cleaned and ready for inspection or closing.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew
- Recognize what work remains after completing an assigned task and move on without waiting for constant direction
- Follow instructions from driver/supervisors and site representatives
- Keep tools, vehicles, equipment and supplies clean and organized
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, builders, trades and other crew members
- Protect finished surfaces and work carefully around newly installed materials

The strongest candidates will have professional cleaning, post-construction or construction-site experience. More importantly, you must demonstrate:

- The physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach and clean throughout the workday
- The ability to safely carry supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
- The ability to safely use a four-foot step ladder
- CSA-approved steel-toe footwear and separate clean indoor shoes
