The Licensed Technician we are currently seeking is a customer-focused team player who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide superior expertise that builds customer loyalty though trust, workmanship and reputation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Performs accurate and complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, estimates and repairs
- Completes and reviews repair orders and vehicle inspection reports with Service Consultants and explains any additional required maintenance work to customers
- Liaises effectively with management and other team members to ensure all commitments are achieved
- Provides quality workmanship to meet or exceed industry standards and performs tasks in compliance with industry flat rate time allowances
- Ensures that an unsafe vehicle is reported to management and the vehicle owner
- Ensures vehicles are kept clean and free of damage by using seat covers and floor mats
- Performs daily bay inspections in order to ensure shop neatness/cleanliness
- Remains current with up-to-date knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of most domestic and imported vehicles
- Adheres to safe work practices at all times and immediately reports any observed or potential hazards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License
- Valid Driver’s License (Class G) with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year+ experience working in a technician position is preferred
- Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs
- Ability to work effectively with computerized systems; working knowledge of CoStar is considered an asset
- Motivated, hardworking and a team player
- Good time management skills
- Ability to serve customers in a professional manner with the desire to inspire their confidence and trust
- Robust communication skills, including the ability to listen carefully and to give precise instructions
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up on daily tasks
- Ability to resolve problems and make decisions
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
- Ability to adapt and cope with pressure
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Standing/walking for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequent twisting, turning, bending and squatting
- Reaching and performing above shoulder activity
- Lifting and/or carrying items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Items may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy”
