Registered Psychologist - Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Rehabilitation | Flexible | North York & Virtual Across Ontario

Mindful Connections Therapy is a growing private practice in North York specializing in trauma, ADHD, motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, brain injury, and concussion recovery. We are expanding our MVA program and are looking for a Psychologist or Psychological Associate to join our team as an independent contractor.

This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys consultation, clinical oversight, and rehabilitation work without the responsibility of maintaining an ongoing psychotherapy caseload or completing routine clinical documentation.

About the Role

Our psychotherapy team conducts the clinical interviews, provides ongoing treatment, prepares treatment plans, completes progress reports, and maintains the clinical documentation.

Your role is to provide clinical oversight by:

- Reviewing treatment plans and supporting clinical documentation.
- Providing clinical consultation and direction when needed.
- Reviewing documentation for clinical appropriateness.
- Acting as the Health Practitioner for OCF-18s and other HCAI documentation when, in your professional judgment, it is appropriate to do so.
- Requesting revisions or additional clinical information whenever required before approving documentation.
- Providing consultation regarding denied or disputed treatment plans, when needed.
- Collaborating with our clinicians to ensure high-quality, evidence-informed care.

Optional Assessment Opportunities (Additional Compensation)

For clinicians who enjoy assessment work, additional opportunities are available, including:

- Psychological assessments and re-assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, supporting diagnosis, treatment planning,

and the appropriate classification of psychological injuries.
- Psychodiagnostic assessments.
- ADHD assessments as part of our growing ADHD and brain injury program.

Assessment work is entirely optional and can be tailored to your interests, experience, and availability.

You maintain full clinical independence and professional discretion in all decisions related to assessments, documentation, and clinical approvals.

Why Join Mindful Connections Therapy?

- Flexible independent contractor role.
- No expectation to build or maintain a psychotherapy caseload.
- No routine progress reports or day-to-day clinical documentation.
- Administrative support provided.
- Opportunity to help shape the clinical direction of a growing MVA rehabilitation program.
- Collaborative team environment with opportunities for consultation, mentorship, and shared learning.
- Adaptable workload based on your availability.
- This role can be as focused or as broad as you'd like. Whether you're looking to provide occasional clinical oversight, contribute to assessments, or become a long-term collaborator in building our rehabilitation program, we're happy to tailor the role to your interests and availability.

Qualifications

- Registered Psychologist or Psychological Associate in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
- Experience working with individuals following motor vehicle accidents, concussions,

acquired brain injuries, chronic pain, trauma, or psychological rehabilitation is an asset.
- Familiarity with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS), HCAI, and OCF documentation is preferred.
- Strong clinical reasoning, professionalism, and collaborative communication.

Compensation

Compensation is provided on a per-review basis for treatment plans and HCAI documentation. Assessment work is compensated separately at assessment rates. Compensation will be discussed based on the scope of the role and is designed to be fair, transparent, and respectful of your time and expertise.
