Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Manager / Site Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within scope, budget, and schedule. You will coordinate with various teams, manage in office operations, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Your proactive leadership will drive project success and foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor progress against project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards.
- Manage site safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents to verify accuracy and feasibility.
- Reporting,
RFIs (Requests for Information), and punch lists.
- Assist in budgeting activities by tracking costs and managing resources effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in commercial construction projects.
- Extensive construction experience with a strong understanding of building processes and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and budgeting practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors effectively.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations essential for maintaining a secure work environment.
