- Position: Machine Operator (Setup & Adjustments) – Flexible Packaging
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Type: Full time, Permanent
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience (Plus fully paid training/orientation provided)

We are an established local manufacturing company specializing in flexible packaging solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Machine Operator with a proven track record in machine setup and mechanical adjustments to join our production team.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up multiple jobs daily, performing critical troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of high-performance converting machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Setup & Job Changes: Independently set up, configure, and change over machinery for various production runs according to technical specifications.
- Machine Types: Operate, adjust, and maintain flexible plastic film converting equipment, specifically including:
- Polybag machines (bottom-seal, side-weld, etc.)
- 3-side seal and stand-up pouch machines
- Mechanical Adjustments: Continuously monitor production and perform precise adjustments (tension control, heat/seal settings, knife alignments, and speed) to minimize waste and ensure high-quality output.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance, regular machinery cleaning,



and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime and safety.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products throughout the shift to guarantee all bags and pouches meet dimensional and seal-strength standards.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in machine operation and setups, specifically within the flexible plastic film converting industry. Direct experience with polybag or stand-up pouch machinery is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, and an excellent eye for detail. Ability to handle precise tools and measurements.
- Attributes: Motivated, reliable, honest, and a cooperative team player with a track record of consistent daily attendance.
- Language Asset: Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) or Vietnamese is considered a strong asset for team collaboration.
- Eligibility: Open to local Canadian residents only. Must have a valid work permit and SIN ready at the time of the interview. No cash pay.

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
