Overview
Detail-oriented Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist experienced in managing full-cycle payroll and maintaining accurate financial records for small to mid-sized businesses. Skilled in payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax filings using QuickBooks and ADP systems. Known for maintaining high accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and consistently meeting strict deadlines. Duties

- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records
- Ensure payroll changes (new hires, terminations, wage updates) are properly authorized and documented
- Prepare and submit payroll remittances (CRA payroll taxes, EHT, WSIB) in accordance with required deadlines
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Support year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation, filings, and adjustments
- Prepare employment-related documentation, including ROEs, employment and income verification letters
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and Ontario payroll regulations (CRA, WSIB, EHT)




- Post and reconcile accounts receivable and payable to the general ledger, bank reconciliation
- Issue client invoices, and follow up on payment discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close, including audit preparation
- Experience working with CRA processes, HST filings
- Process and distribute payments using various methods

What we're Looking For

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Experience working with CRA processes, HST filings, and payroll remittances
- Highly organized with strong attention to compliance and accuracy
- Professional, reliable, and deadline-driven

Qualifications

- Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines
- 2–4 years of payroll experience and Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Quickbooks online and ADP
- Payroll certification (PCP) is an asset
- Solid Excel skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Must be able to perform job duties in a fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities
- Bilingual/trilingual proficiency required: Mandarin, English, and Cantonese (spoken and written communication an asset)

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
