Lifeline Fire Protection is an expanding, diversified and customer-oriented company in the fire protection services field.

We are looking for a self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge in fire alarm service, repair, installation and inspection with a strong knowledge of the codes.

Qualified candidates must be registered with the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) to join the Lifeline team.

Starting salary will be based on your professional background and years of experience

Term: Full-Time Permanent, must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Location: Greater Toronto Area and beyond, including Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, and Barrie with Head Office located in Concord, Ontario

Job duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in performing monthly/semi-annual/annual inspections of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and fire hose cabinets
- Assist in performing deficiency repairs
- Assist with fire alarm panel installations, test and system verification
- Preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.




- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS: 

- Pending registration with the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA)  Experience with fire alarm systems (all brands), emergency lighting systems and extinguishers
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
- Experienced in conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, and key valves / switches on fire protection systems 
- Experienced in high-rise and low-rise residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Experience with basic power tools 
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Capable of performing physical labor (e.g. carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.)
- Able to work in unusual and difficult positions (e.g. climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts,



hydro vaults, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.)
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision  Must have excellent work ethic with strong dependability
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
- Proficient in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication; to customers, coworkers, and non-technical staff
- Proficiency in English is required
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle for work is an asset
