Huronia Drapes is a well-established custom drapery workroom specializing in beautifully crafted window treatments for residential and commercial interiors. We create custom work that we're proud to put our name on. We are looking for an experienced custom drapery seamstress to take on a senior role within our workroom. This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working independently, and is ready to help lead by experience while producing exceptional custom work.
This is a custom drapery position—not general sewing or industrial production.

The Role
You'll create beautifully crafted custom drapery, Roman shades, valances, top treatments and decorative pillows while producing work that meets the high standards Huronia Drapes is known for.
Responsibilities
- Measure, lay out and cut fabrics accurately
- Read work orders and fabricate custom window treatments to specification
- Work with linings, buckram and specialty fabrics
- Hand sew and machine sew to a professional finish
- Produce high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a professional custom drapery workroom (required)
- Strong knowledge of custom drapery construction techniques
- Experience using industrial sewing machines
- Excellent measuring and math skills
- Ability to work independently while consistently producing high-quality work
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Reliable transportation to our Barrie workroom
