Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker Assistant to join our dynamic woodworking and cabinetry team. In this role, you will support skilled cabinet makers in constructing, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and woodwork. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in woodworking, blueprint interpretation, and various construction techniques while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship. Duties

- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for cabinet projects
- Support the fabrication process by preparing materials using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders
- Help with the assembly of cabinets, ensuring components are accurately fitted according to specifications
- Aid in the installation of cabinets and related woodwork in residential or commercial settings
- Participate in construction activities including framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and siding as needed
- Support the team with general construction tasks such as heavy lifting, caulking, rebar installation, and masonry work
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout all phases of production

Qualifications

- Thorough understanding of cabinet construction methods and common door/drawer hardware.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, woodworking, and construction painting
- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.




- Help the skilled person on unloading and packing up tools at the end of the work.
- Remove debris at construction sites, and vacuum to ensure the site is left clean.Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics;
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork skills; handyman experience or electrical experience is beneficial
- Prior construction experience or restoration projects is preferred but not required
- Must have a valid Driver License.

We offer:

- Regular work hours (overtime or site work are both possible occurrences) Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

- Salary- $18 - $22/ hour depending on qualifications and experience.
