Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

Location: Sackville, NS

Work Type: Full-time permanent (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 1 hour unpaid breaks)

Salary: $35-$40/hr

What you'll do:

- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in vehicles or equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems (brakes, engines, transmissions).
- Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication, tire service, tune-ups.
- Test repaired equipment for proper function and performance.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, work orders, and inventory.
- Follow safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tagout, safe work practices).
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs and parts used.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while working in the shop environment.

What You’ll Bring:





- Red Seal Automotive Technician certification required.
- MVI Certified preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, ideally in a professional shop setting.
- Skilled in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) when required.
- Robust attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
