Inventory specialist

As an Inventory Specialist in our retail store, you play a key role in inventory management and daily store operations. This is a hands-on, store-based position where you will work directly on the sales floor and in the backstrore. You will ensure merchandise is received, replenished, and presented according to company standards while supporting customers and the sales team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY

- Plan and execute daily inventory management activities, including receiving, verifying, unpacking, and processing merchandise.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure product replenishment on the sales floor.
- Actively participate in the physical tasks of the store, including moving and handling merchandise and furniture.
- Manage damaged items and follow the appropriate procedures.
- Identify improvement opportunities and report inventory-related issues to management.
- Provide personalized, proactive, and friendly customer service while supporting the sales team.
- Maintain an attractive visual environment aligned with the company’s standards.
- Support store operations,



including temporarily overseeing the sales floor in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, and participating in store opening and closing procedures.
- Participate in the onboarding, training, and integration of new employees.
- Help motivate the team and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience in a retail environment
- Practical knowledge of in-store inventory management procedures.
- Proficiency with computer tools, including inventory management software (Excel knowledge preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop a team.
- Good physical condition, with ability to lift medium to large items and frequently use a ladder.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS

- Permanent part-time position.
- Variable schedule based on operational needs, including day and/or evening shifts.
- Weekend availability required.
- Increased presence expected during peak periods (promotions, sales, seasonal changes).
- May interact with demanding customers or in tense situations.
- Prolonged standing and merchandise handling.
- Regular lifting of medium to large items up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs, depending on store needs.
- Frequent physical movements (bending, stretching, climbing ladders) as part of receiving, setup, and restocking activities.
