House of Handsome is a modern men’s grooming destination focused on quality service, attention to detail, and an exceptional client experience. As we grow our Red Deer location, we are looking for a talented and motivated Barber / Hairstylist to join our team.
Position Overview
The Barber / Hairstylist will provide professional haircutting, styling, grooming, and client consultation services. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, stays current with industry trends, and knows how to create a welcoming experience that keeps clients coming back.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality men’s haircuts, fades, tapers, beard trims, lineups, and styling services
- Consult with clients to understand their preferred look and recommend suitable styles
- Deliver a friendly, professional, and consistent client experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation
- Follow all shop hygiene, safety, and service standards
- Manage appointments efficiently and remain punctual throughout the day
- Recommend grooming products and provide aftercare advice when appropriate
- Build strong relationships with clients and encourage repeat bookings
- Support walk-in clients and contribute to the overall success of the shop
- Participate in shop promotions, social media content, events, and team initiatives when required
- Stay informed about current haircutting techniques, grooming trends,



and product knowledge

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a barber, hairstylist, or men’s grooming professional is preferred
- Valid Alberta hairstylist certification or relevant professional qualification is an asset
- Strong skills in fades, scissor cuts, beard grooming, and modern men’s hairstyles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, client-focused environment
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and peak business hours as scheduled
- Existing clientele is an asset but not required
