Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Maintenance Welder to join our team at a base mine operation. This position involves working on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotational schedule of 12 hour shifts with 6 hours travel in and 6 hours travel out, with full camp accommodations provided during your work rotation. As an Equipment Maintenance Welder, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and rebuilds of a variety of heavy equipment used in an industrial mining environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Wages:

- $52-$58 Hr as an employee
- $75.00/Hr as a by hand contractor

Key Responsibilities:

- Fix broken, cracked or torn metal on heavy duty equipment
- Operate manual and semi-automatic gear like SMAW, GMAW, FCAW
- Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation
- Use carbon arc gouging, plasma arc cutting and oxy-fuel torches
- Interpret technical diagrams, work orders,



or repair specifications to figure out the best way to fix a piece of equipment
- Clean, grind and prep metal surfaces. Inspect finished work for flaws and follow strict safety rules on site.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and departments

Qualification's

- Journeyperson welder certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Experience in heavy equipment maintenance (off-road/mining experience is considered a strong asset)
- Strong welding aptitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial setting
- Safety tickets required an asset.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to varying weather conditions
