About the Opportunity

We are seeking a professional, motivated, and patient-focused Physiotherapist who wants to build a strong long-term practice at our newest West Springs location.

The successful practitioner will operate as an independent contractor while benefiting from the infrastructure, administration, marketing, clinic systems, and professional environment of the Evolve Chiropractic & Wellness group.

We are particularly interested in speaking with Physiotherapists who enjoy treating musculoskeletal conditions, active individuals, orthopedic injuries, and sports-related injuries, and who value evidence-informed, collaborative patient care.

The ideal practitioner will combine strong assessment and manual therapy skills with an active approach to rehabilitation, exercise prescription, patient education, and long-term functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

- Conducting comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and functional assessments




- Developing individualized, evidence-informed physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Providing appropriate manual therapy and therapeutic interventions within your professional scope
- Developing and progressing individualized therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation programs
- Educating patients regarding movement, recovery, injury prevention, ergonomics, and self-management strategies
- Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation
- Developing and maintaining strong therapeutic relationships with patients
- Collaborating and communicating with other healthcare practitioners when appropriate
- Maintaining all required professional registration, liability insurance, competencies, and continuing education
- Practising in accordance with applicable Alberta professional standards and requirements
- Actively developing and growing your physiotherapy practice

Required Qualifications

- Degree in Physiotherapy/Physical Therapy from a recognized institution
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta and legally entitled to practise physiotherapy in Alberta
- Required professional liability insurance
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-informed care
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications and Assets

The following are considered assets but are not required:

- 3+ years of clinical physiotherapy experience
- Solid orthopedic and musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills
- Experience treating sports-related and activity-related injuries
- Experience working with active populations or athletes
- Strong manual therapy skills
- Experience with active rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, and progressive exercise prescription
- Training or authorization to perform dry needling or other restricted activities applicable to physiotherapy practice in Alberta
- Experience with soft-tissue techniques or complementary manual therapy approaches
- Experience with post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation




- Experience managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Established professional referral relationships
- An existing patient following
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a successful patient practice
- Interest in building a long-term presence within the West Springs community

Independent Contractor Structure

This is an independent-contractor opportunity.

The Physiotherapist will maintain professional autonomy over their clinical practice while operating within Evolve Chiropractic & Wellness.

Compensation is based on a competitive percentage-based structure.

Our clinic provides the operational infrastructure and support needed to allow practitioners to focus on patient care and practice development.

Location and Schedule

The new clinic is located in West Springs in southwest Calgary.

The clinic will operate Monday through Saturday.

Practitioner schedules are flexible and will be established collaboratively between Evolve and the successful practitioner based on practitioner availability, patient demand, and clinic needs.

Both substantial part-time and full-time practice schedules may be accommodated.
