We are seeking an experienced Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment in the field. If you’re self-motivated, reliable, and enjoy working independently with strong technical skills, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform mobile repairs and maintenance on loaders, excavators, dozers, rollers, rock trucks, and crushers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
- Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs and timelines
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Red Seal Certified (3rd and 4th year considered)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided, if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal Certificate
- Experience with a wide range of heavy equipment
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Computer/diagnostic software experience
