JOURNEYPERSON PLT

Maxim Energy Corp is a contractor with trained Resources providing provincial utilities with QEW Electricians and Powerline Technicians (PLTs) for meter exchanges, electrical service isolations, customer service repairs and replacements, construction inspections, etc. We also provide electricians and PLTs as part of our powerline Field Consultants, and lines and stations construction inspections throughout Saskatchewan.

The project(s) of concern currently is for AMI Meter Installations as part of a large SaskPower contract in the North Battleford, until October 2026 then relocating to Kindersley and continuing south in the Swift Current regions.

The projects will be full-time and continuous for approximately three years

Pay Rates:

· Starting pay rate for Journeyperson PLTs $50/hr

· Travel Time is paid from home to work location- Start and end of shift

· Schedule is minimum 4-10 hour days per week.

· Overtime is paid at 1.5 X regular rate

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

We are looking for Journeyperson PLTs with the following qualifications:

1. Pre-work PLT Requirements:

· Valid Saskatchewan recognized Journeyed PLT Certificate

· First Aid/CPR

· Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

· Clean Drivers Abstract

· Clean Drug and Alcohol Test

· PLTs to provide small hand tools and voltmeter

2. SaskPower Training Requirements:





· Qualified Meter Installer Training

· Meter Exchange Standard Operating Procedure

· Required SaskPower training through ISNetworld

· Regular Compliance Work Observations

3. Responsibilities of the job:

· interface with customers - explaining the AMI Meter exchange process

· safely remove existing meter utilizing the training received before work commences

· perform service repairs or replacement as required as per the Canadian Electrical Code and the SaskPower Electrical Service Requirements

· Complete all required documentation accurately

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative

4. Physical Requirements of Job:

· must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis

· must be physically fit to perform all aspects of the job

· must be able to walk and/or stand 70% of the shift

· must be able to work in small spaces
