Position Overview:
SJ Cabinetry Services is looking for a dedicated Cabinet Refacing Assistant to support our lead installer and owner on residential kitchen refacing projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with some hands-on experience who wants to build their skills on the job and grow within a small, established company. The role reports directly to the owner/lead installer and requires reliable transportation to job sites around Winnipeg.

We specialize in transforming kitchens with high-quality craftsmanship and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Our small, hands-on team takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations -

- Assist the lead installer with cabinet refacing, door/drawer front installation, and related finishing work according to job specifications.
- Help load and unload materials and tools at job sites.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe throughout each job.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines on-site.
- Communicate clearly with the lead installer to keep projects running smoothly.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, addressing questions or concerns as needed.

Qualifications:





- Some prior experience with cabinet installation, carpentry, or related hands-on trade work (we're looking for someone with a bit of experience — not necessarily a seasoned pro).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, as this role involves working in clients' homes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Positive communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working independently as well as alongside a small team.
- Basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends as project schedules require.
