As an Immigration Case Assistant, you will support the legal team by conducting thorough research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. This role requires strong writing skills and attention to detail, along with proficiency in data entry and organizational tasks. You will also utilize your bilingual abilities in English and Mandarin to facilitate communication with clients. Your premium skills in project management and proofreading will enhance the efficiency of case processing. Responsibilities
- Assist immigration consultants in collecting and organizing client documents, preparing and completing various immigration forms and supporting documents
- Customize application materials according to the requirements of different immigration programs (e.g., Provincial Nominee Programs, Federal Immigration Programs, LMIA, etc.)
- Translate and review immigration-related documents accurately and professionally
- Conduct preliminary reviews of client documents to ensure completeness, authenticity, and compliance
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files, ensuring proper documentation and easy retrieval
- Assist clients with scheduling medical exams, obtaining police certificates, and completing notarizations or certifications as needed
- Track the progress of applications and maintain effective communication with immigration authorities and government agencies
- Stay updated on immigration policy changes and support the team in adjusting application strategies accordingly
- Assist in preliminary client assessments and data collection during the consultation process
- Support daily department operations and participate in internal training sessions
- Handle client feedback promptly to enhance client satisfaction and service quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with strong writing and translation skills
- Excellent communication, learning, and teamwork skills; meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple cases efficiently
- Familiarity with Canadian immigration programs (e.g., PNPs, LMIA, Express Entry, etc.) is highly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the immigration industry is an asset
