We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as preparing examination rooms, handling medical supplies, and documenting patient interactions
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems while respecting patient confidentiality
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and upcoming appointments
- Support the team by managing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and coordinating referrals or laboratory requests
Experience
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and medical terminology
- Experience with medication administration and handling pharmaceutical supplies is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to foster positive patient interactions
