Primary Responsibilities:
- Must be able to operate machinery and perform tasks in sifting, dispensing, blending, encapsulating, tableting, drying, filling and labeling operations
- Operate manufacturing and packaging equipment including blenders, encapsulation machines, tablet press, mills, granulators, liquid pumps, counters, cappers, induction sealers, labelers and other equipment.
- Prepare manufacturing and packaging room for processes and perform cleaning, material staging and equipment set up
- Some tasks may include driving a lift truck or other powered equipment, troubleshoot the machine operation, perform basic machine maintenance, move equipment, materials, or products within the facility
- Must be familiar with basic machine functions in order to perform the above stated tasks
- Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on equipment per the P.M. charts.
- Follow all established sanitation, safety, legal, quality, process control policies and regulations
- Maintain required company records and forms.
Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Assemble, disassemble, and clean the equipment in between different runs and at the end of the shift
- Complete required documentation
- Adhere to SOPs and other critical procedures and documents
- Assist product development personnel as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Employment Qualification:
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of successful experience in an industrial facility
- High school graduate or General Educational Development (GED)/High School Equivalency Certificate or equivalent education or experience; must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Previous machine operating experience in pharmaceutical, food or manufacturing industry would be considered an asset
- Detailed oriented and able to work independently when required
- Ability to work as an effective team member; includes accepting supervision and assistance from other team members
- Able to read and interpret production orders and other production documents
- Basic understanding of operating a computer
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
