Reporting to: The Spa Director

YOUR ROLE:

The Hotel and Spa at 124 Queen is looking for extraordinary Registered Massage Therapists to join our Spa Team. Our ideal candidates take a genuine interest in the care of their guests and is always looking for opportunities to elevate someone’s day. This person can create calm and ease pain through the magic of their hands and their personality.





Primary Responsibilities:

- Perform massages and body treatments in accordance with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) standards.
- Adhere to the standard of hygiene established by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized or discarded.
- Ensure an extraordinary Spa experience for all guests.
- Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans.
- Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients.
- Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques for further postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
- Maintain treatment records for each guest.
- Maintain a positive and caring work environment with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
- Comply with all hotel policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Skilled Requirements:

- Registered and in good standing with the CMTO
- Registered Massage Therapy diploma to meet Provincial regulations and/or accredited associationsTwo (2) years experience as a Massage Therapist in a luxury spa/health club
- Knowledge of various massage treatments an asset (e.g. Stone Massage, Foot Reflexology Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Aromatherapy Massage)
- Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is required
- Flexible schedule including weekends
- Positive working attitude

Pay: $57.00-$80.00 per hour

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Experience:

- massage therapy: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Registration with College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (preferred)
