Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Duty 310 T Diesel Mechanic who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Document all work completed, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.

Fill out inspection sheets as required, adhering to company standards and safety guidelines.

Track and log parts usage daily, ensuring proper inventory control and reporting any discrepancies.

When instructed, perform road tests to verify the functionality and safety of repaired vehicles.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.

Assist senior mechanics in troubleshooting mechanical issues, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of repairs and maintenance tasks.

Follow all safety protocols,



including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.

All other duties as required.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trailers, including inspections, brake work, electrical, tire changes and oil changes.

Conduct inspections, diagnostics and repairs.

Replace panels, roofs, doors, etc.

Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.

Address any changes to the work order as per customer request.

Maintain a clean, organized and secure work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Active and valid 310J Certification registered under Skilled Trades Ontario Or 310T License.

2-3 years practical experience in trailer maintenance required.

Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools) required.

Lift heavy materials in excess of 75 lbs (i.e., trailer suspension parts, tires, drums etc.)

A valid class “G” driver’s license for the Province of Ontario

AZ License an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
