Kitchen Staff / Front End Team Member

Starting Wage: $16.00/hour + Tips
Store Hours: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our team at The Ploughman’s Table!

This is a hands-on position that includes both kitchen and front-of-house responsibilities. You’ll prepare and assemble sandwiches and other menu items, serve customers, operate the till, complete food prep, and help keep the shop clean, organized and running smoothly.

Our shop is open from 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, so applicants must have availability to work shifts within these hours. Some opening or closing duties may take place slightly outside regular store hours.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and other menu items according to our recipes and standards
- Complete daily ingredient and food prep
- Serve customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take orders and process payments using our POS system
- Handle cash accurately
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the day
- Monitor prep levels and make sure the next shift is set up for success
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen, prep, service and dining areas
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation and food-handling procedures




- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Assist other team members wherever needed
- Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties as assigned

- Previous kitchen, restaurant, café or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person
- Availability to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Compensation

Starting wage: $16.00 per hour + tips
