ABOUT THE ROLE

Forward Furniture is a Calgary furniture showroom looking for a sharp, driven Sales Associate to help run the floor and grow into a real leadership role in the store. This is a chance to work directly alongside the owner, with a genuine path to more responsibility and pay as you prove yourself.

You'll spend most of your time on the sales floor working with customers, but you'll also help oversee the warehouse and occasionally pitch in on deliveries and furniture assembly when we need an extra hand. We're a small, close-knit team looking for someone who wants to build something with us, not just punch a clock.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Greet and help customers on the showroom floor, understand what they need, and close sales

- Process transactions and handle basic point-of-sale tasks

- Help oversee warehouse organization and inventory alongside our delivery/warehouse team

- Occasionally assist with deliveries and furniture assembly when the schedule needs it

- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentation-ready

- Build real product knowledge across our furniture, mattresses, and specialty lines like massage chairs and saunas





- Take on more responsibility over time, training, scheduling, day-to-day store operations, as you prove yourself

WHAT YOU NEED

- Genuine sales experience, retail or otherwise - you know how to read a customer and close

- Comfortable being on your feet, moving furniture, and pitching in physically when needed

- Fluent English required, spoken and written - this is a customer-facing role

- Reliable, sharp, and able to take ownership without being micromanaged

- Comfortable working independently with a adaptable schedule

- Previous retail management, sales leadership, or furniture experience is a strong asset

- Part-time to start, flexible schedule based on store needs

- $25.00/hour

- Calgary SE location (6125 12 St SE)
